My Excuse?

Don't have one.
Despite my absence, I'm still aware of my blog and plan on continuing to post. Expect less updates on my life for the remainder of the school year. Personal reasons, OK, let's move on.
It's a particularly great week. I've three days of school left, and then I'll finally be able to hit that Christmas Vacation, I've discovered Reinga Spektor, the semester is nearly over, and last but not least I benched 110lbs today.
God I'm a stud.
So I'm taking back whatever I've ever said about a singer's/artist's/band's/group's image being overly cared about. At the time I failed to see how people viewed said performer(s) in their hotness and how it compliments their music. Because, in all seriousness, Regina is the hottest redhead evar.
YouTube and MySpace?

Details of Googles purchase, a $1.65 billion transacation -- making this Google's largest purchase in its eight year history, of YouTube were released the morning of October 9th.
This is great news for YouTube, and a good move for Google: I’m willing to bet that we’ll look back on this as a good value buy. YouTube is likely to be bigger than MySpace, in my opinion, and will justify the $1.65 billion. I still half-wish that Chad had gone it alone, but earning hundreds of millions in just over a year is too good an offer to turn down, especially when faced with so much uncertainty about the future. I also expect to see some action on the Facebook-Yahoo deal very soon (or if Yahoo doesn’t act, someone else will). With YouTube now exceeding its $1.5 billion valuation, Facebook will almost certainly go for $1 billion or more. I’m not as convinced of Facebook’s future success as I am of YouTube’s, but it’s the only big player remaining in the social networking space.

But YouTube's going to be bigger than MySpace? How, what, when? ..-cough- ORLY?
This doesn't seem logical to me. I'm no expert, but MySpace has for the past few years been an almost too perfect teen getaway where the focus is on said person. MySpace also hosts a number of band pages, including the ones you wouldn't exactly ever see on MTV, which gives said teen all the more reason to brag about his taste in la musica hardxcore.
Point being, MySpace allows for the great numbers of visitors to present themselves to their audience. You're given a great deal of customization with ease, perhaps unlike any other website, and a chance to be you via the internet. While I still prefer a blog over a MySpace, the idea is genious and has been rewarded justly.
But according to this guy, I should be purchasing AlexaStreet YouTube stock.
Now, can a video site with more than enough legality issues seriously surpass such a website as MySpace? Probably not.

My eye is pink.
I started off my day waking up to a very strong irritation over the surface of my eyeball (which is rather surprising considering I wear contacts). By instinct, and probably out of sheer idiocy being it the wee-morning hours of the day, I shoved my palm into my eyelid. Around lunch the other eye started to become irritated. I came to the conclusion that I was one of the very few suffering from Conjunctivitis, or better known as the pink eye.
There goes two consecutive days of school missed. Yeah, awesome.
So pre-SAT tests are around the corner. I'm not entirely sure if I want to study (or what/how to even study for, for that matter) or not or even if I do good that it will matter at all.
A kid told me that his dad bought him an 850 page book on SAT preperation. Lucky SOB. (Mm, where would I be able to find this? Maybe I'll check the library.)
I really, really need to fix my sleeping patterns. For a student and kid I should be getting at least some 7-8 hours of sleep and yet I end up finding myself tired only around 12:30 AM (where I have to wake up at 6:00 AM).
Oh, what? The Twins lost? Hah, MLB sucks.
I Am Enlightened

Ever since I've first visited California I've had dreams of living there. My mom's side lives roughly in the Bay Area, and actually had my dad not been so stubborn we would be living there today -- staring at the beautiful sunsets, feeling the calm and silent sun rays, eating fantastic Asian food, and, well.. living the life.
Instead I'm living in freezing temperatures in the winter, among a semi-racist student body, and a boring town.

I read an article on surviving high school, and, honestly, it didn't fall far from the tree; now reading, and putting everything into consideration, xmatt is right -- though not in everything, he's definitely right:
You will be given a new, fresh, and clean slate after high school. It's flat out idiotic to harm or let something or someone get in the away of yourself, intentions, or future goals in any way in your Freshmen-Senior days because you will move on to a place far, far away from "gossip hour" at Central Campus.
South Park does WoW

World Of Warcraft is going to be featured as the first episode of season 10 of South Park. From the trailer, it looks as if Blizzard helped out quite a bit.
